Wow What a Big Weekend for Such a Little Girl

First off we would like to apologize to everyone for the time between posts. Wow have the last two months been crazy!! Briley is going like a weed, Daddy is very busy with work, mommy is pregnant, and the summer time is in full swing. What? You say I have some explaining to do? Yeah for everyone who hasn't heard we are expecting again. Stacey and I will be proud parents again around December 8th. We were very shocked at first as this is sooner then we wanted for a little brother or little sister for Briley, but we are VERY excited now!! The Lord has blessed us again and that is how we feel about our new bundle of joy coming in December.

Now to the events of the past weekend. We decided it was time for Briley to attend her first baseball game. The Reds played the Cubs in Cincinnati this past Friday and Briley was part of the 33,000+ in attendance. After the Reds game there were fireworks planned. We weren't sure if Briley would make it to the 7th inning stretch much less the end of the game and fireworks. Well to our surprise the game ended about 10:15pm and Briley was still awake. Well now there is a 20 minute intermission and we are sure that she would fall asleep but still to our surprise that just as the lights dimmed she sat straight up waiting patiently for what ever we had in store for her next. As the first firework exploded we weren't sure how she would handle the noise and the lights, well she loved it!! At first she sat mesmerized and then as the 20 minute show continued and smiled and laughed. At one point she decided to lay her head down on mommy, but positioned herself to still see the fireworks as she was laying her on mommy's chest. So as the fireworks ended and we walked to the car, with her in a stroller, surely with the time past 11 and 3+ hours past this little girl's bed time she would fall asleep. One final time she surprised us by staying awake and watching every person/car that went by on the way to the car. It wasn't until she was safely tucked away in her car seat did she finally hit the wall and pass out.

Here are some pictures from the game:

Well Daddy decided Briley needed a Reds hat to go with her shirt and Mommy decided it needed to be pink. She wanted to be sure everyone knew she was a little GIRL!!

Being the Cincinnatians that Jason and I are, we LOVE to see her in the pink Red's hat. Just adorable!

Oh my goodness on the pregnancy! Congrats you guys. Our second came a little earlier than we had planned but we LOVE having the girls so close in age. You guys will do great!

Congratulations and I hope Stacey is feeling well!!!

i think that briley had much more fun at the cardinals game this pass weekend. even though the cardinals didn't provide any fireworks for her. i will keep an eye out for a cardinal sun hat.
