Briley's 1st Birthday
Briley had her First Birthday and First Birthday Party with friends and family. We had people from all over the US-California, Florida, St Louis, and Chicago. Briley is a very popular little girl even at 1 year old. Thanks to everyone who made the day very special!

Busy September
It was a very busy September for Briley. We made faces with Pop Layton. We love bathtime with all of the fun toys. And then Great Aunt Nancy's Wedding. I had so much fun with everyone!!

Also on a side note Stacey is at 25 weeks this coming Tuesday and everything is GREAT!! The baby's heartbeat is at 130bpm and still on course for a December 8th due date. We will be posting more baby info after our next baby appointment on September 17th. Also get your guesses ready because at that time will be taking guess on Sex and Date for Baby Layton's arrival.

Wow What a Big Weekend for Such a Little Girl
First off we would like to apologize to everyone for the time between posts. Wow have the last two months been crazy!! Briley is going like a weed, Daddy is very busy with work, mommy is pregnant, and the summer time is in full swing. What? You say I have some explaining to do? Yeah for everyone who hasn't heard we are expecting again. Stacey and I will be proud parents again around December 8th. We were very shocked at first as this is sooner then we wanted for a little brother or little sister for Briley, but we are VERY excited now!! The Lord has blessed us again and that is how we feel about our new bundle of joy coming in December.
Now to the events of the past weekend. We decided it was time for Briley to attend her first baseball game. The Reds played the Cubs in Cincinnati this past Friday and Briley was part of the 33,000+ in attendance. After the Reds game there were fireworks planned. We weren't sure if Briley would make it to the 7th inning stretch much less the end of the game and fireworks. Well to our surprise the game ended about 10:15pm and Briley was still awake. Well now there is a 20 minute intermission and we are sure that she would fall asleep but still to our surprise that just as the lights dimmed she sat straight up waiting patiently for what ever we had in store for her next. As the first firework exploded we weren't sure how she would handle the noise and the lights, well she loved it!! At first she sat mesmerized and then as the 20 minute show continued and smiled and laughed. At one point she decided to lay her head down on mommy, but positioned herself to still see the fireworks as she was laying her on mommy's chest. So as the fireworks ended and we walked to the car, with her in a stroller, surely with the time past 11 and 3+ hours past this little girl's bed time she would fall asleep. One final time she surprised us by staying awake and watching every person/car that went by on the way to the car. It wasn't until she was safely tucked away in her car seat did she finally hit the wall and pass out.
Here are some pictures from the game:

Well Daddy decided Briley needed a Reds hat to go with her shirt and Mommy decided it needed to be pink. She wanted to be sure everyone knew she was a little GIRL!!

Briley's 6 Months Old
Briley had her 6 month Doctor's visit this past week. She was very impressed with Little Bri-Bear's progress. Briley can sit up on her own. But she still falls over after awhile. She can lay on her belly with her head all the way up. But she still can't get her little tushie in the air so it will still be a little while before she can crawl. And she is starting to get her first tooth (it's on the bottom right side). The doctor also said that she was a very happy and healthy baby.
She now weighs 16lbs 12oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. She is in the 80th percentile for her length. Which means she is very tall for 6 months. We have no idea where that her height has come from. Then she is 60th percentile for weight.

Briley's First Attempt at Baby Food
It was time for Briley to start with some baby food. Over the past couple of weeks she has started eating rice cereal and oatmeal. So Stacey picked out the lastest menu, more matter how hard I tried to get her to get some fruit Stacey insisted on Squash. Well you will see the results!!
Make sure you watch both videos and try not to laugh too hard.
